Hi Cathy,

Check out http://www.killerssoftware.com/support/wowaddon.html for the steps.

From the File menu select "Import KillersSoftware.lua..." in the Keystroke! application.

Then select the KillersSoftware.lua file that is in the WTF\ACCOUNT folder. After you select the file, then click the Open button in the dialog then it will load your key bindings into Keystroke!

Hope this helps. I have also updated my instructions on the support page so that its clearer on what to do. I appreciate your comments.

Thank you,

Kenneth

I do not see any application so this makes no sense to me.

After typing /createKeyBindings and closing WoW, I went to the WTF/saved variables and tried to open the killersoftware.lua but it wants to look for a program to open it with.

OK ok so I am a dork, lol......Please HELP this dork!

Ok, first the WoWAddOn is a separate thing from Keystroke! and once you exit World Of Warcraft you have to startup the Keystroke! application outside of WOW.

http://www.killerssoftware.com/download ... stroke.zip - Windows XP
http://www.killerssoftware.com/download ... stroke.zip - Vista

Just extract the contents somewhere and double click the setup.msi

After you have installed Keystroke! the application icon will be located on the desktop or you can accessed from the Start button, select Programs, select Killers Software, and then select Keystroke!. If you have running Keystroke! and the What Can I Say? dialog isn't showing just double click on the skull icon in the tray next to the time.

From there you would go to the File menu and select Import KillersSoftware.lua file and browse to the WTF\Account folder and go into your account folder to find the SavedVariables folder and then go into that folder to select the KillersSoftware.lua. Then you would click the Open button to import the file into Keystroke!

Hope this helps. If not it you could send me some screen shots or I can remote into your desktop into your machine and could quickly help you out.

Kenneth

Now we're getting somewhere...lol

Not once did I see in your instructions that keystroke was a seperate application and had to be dl and then unzipped. Now the puzzle makes sense.

May I suggest that you actually go back and write down every single click or thing you do to use this program and place them in the instructions. They are rather vague and I know you want pl to be able to use this easy or they will just give up.

Hugs and thanks for all your help
Cathy

Ok so now that i have it loaded, where are the instruction on how to use it. I see the template but have no idea where to go from here.

Sorry if I am making this hard on you, but I just want others to have ease of use also. If I am having troubles understanding it, then I know others will also.

Here is the thing. People who write programs often forget that the public they are working with are clueless and need all complete steps wrote out for them to be able to use this. I suggest going in with the mind set of someone who barely can turn on their computer and write the instructions from their point of view.

Hugs again

Once you have imported it and the voice commands are showing then your ready to use it in the active application your in. For the DEMO version you will see 3 voice commands marked as (DEMO). These are the ones that are enabled and if you say them it will send the keys to the current application. So if you go into World Of Warcraft and say any of those 3 (DEMO) voice commands it will send the keystrokes just like you typing on the keyboard.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts above, I will work on improving that so users understand and can use the product immediately. The welcome screen is a start to help out with that and updating the steps on the web so that it very clear. I appreciate your feedback.

Thanks,

Kenneth
