Setting up English - US for Speech Recognizer and Regional and Language Options
If you get the following error:
The language for the grammar does not match the language of the speech recognizer.
The error is because the Speech Recognizer and Regional and Language Options
do not match. Follow the steps below to set the Language to English - US
in both Control Panel dialogs. Currently, Killers VoiceCommand only supports
English - US but Killers Software may support other languages in the future.
Windows XP
Windows Vista
Go to the Control Panel and select the Classic View and double click Speech
Recognition Options


Make sure that you have Microsoft Speech Recognizer 8.0 for Windows (English - US)
and click the OK button.
If you didn't have (English - US) select windows will tell you that you need
to restart the speech recognition program before the new settings take affect.
To do this go to the tool bar next to the clock and close the Windows Speech Recognition
program.

Right click the icon next to the red arrow above and select Exit from
the menu.
Next, go back to the Control Panel and select the Control Panel Home and click the
Change keyboards or other input methods link.

Now go to the Formats tab, and make sure you have English (United States)
set.

Next, go to the Location tab and make sure you have United States selected
for Current Location.

Next, go to the Administrative tab and make sure you have English (United
States) selected by clicking the Change system locale... button.

Once you change the setting for the Administrative tab Windows Vista will
ask you to restart your system. If you have English - US for both the
Speech Properties dialog and Region and Language dialog Killers VoiceCommand
will be able to run now properly.
Windows XP
Go to the Control Panel and double click the Speech icon.


Next, make sure you have Microsoft English (U.S.) v6.1 Recognizer set for
the Language setting and click the OK button.
Next, go back to the Control Panel and double click the Regional and Language Options
icon.


Next, make sure you have English (Unites States) set in the Regional Options
tab.

Next, go to Advanced tab and make sure you have English (United States)
set and click the OK button.
Windows, may require you to reboot your system.
If you have English - US for both the Speech Properties dialog and
Region and Language dialog Killers VoiceCommand will be able to run now properly.
